Grilled Italian Flautas

Ingredients:

  • 8oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Romano cheese
  • 1 green onion finely chopped
  • 3 Tbs. chopped sundried tomatoes from the jar kind in oil
  • 4 to 5 pickled garlic cloves ( I used habanera flavor)
  • Red pepper flakes to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 2 Tbs. olive oil



  • Method:

  • 1. Combine first 7 ingredients in a microwavable safe dish heat covered 20 seconds at a time until well heated and cheeses melt.
  • 2. Adjust seasoning to taste
  • 3. Add mixture to flour tortillas and roll. Massage gently to evenly disperse.
  • 4. Heat olive oil on grill pan on fairly high heat.
  • 5. Add flautas and brown them turning each one four times to create square shape.
  • 6. Remove from grill pan and let rest for a few minutes and then slice in thirds if you wish or leave whole.
