Grilled Brie With Chutney

Ingredients:

  • Brie:
  • 1 Pound of Brie Cheese
  • 1 Egg White,beaten,slightly,ranch fresh
  • 3/4 Cup Bread Crumbs,fresh
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sage,dried
  • Chutney:
  • 1-1/4 Pound Peaches,peeled,chopped
  • 1 Cup Cranberries
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Dark Brown Sugar,firmly packed
  • 1/3 Cup Black Currants,dried
  • 1 Onion,minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Candied Ginger,minced
  • 1/4 Cup Raisins
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mace
  • 1/4 teaspoon Allspice
  • 3/4 Cup Spring Water



  • Method:

  • Using a potato peeler,cut off some of the thick areas of the brie rind around the rim,top and bottom.
  • Cut the cheese into 8 wedges.
  • Pour the egg white into bowl,place bread crumbs in another bowl.
  • Roll the cheese in egg white the dust with bread crumbs.
  • Shake off extra crumbs.
  • Place cheese on plate and refrigerate until ready to grill.
  • For Chutney,which was already prepared and brought with guest(Mixed all ingredients together and simmered for about 30 minutes.)
  • On Grill,place the cheese on rack that has been brush with butter.
  • Grill the cheese for about 4 minutes,turn.
  • Cheese should be warm and just runny.
  • Serve the cheese wedge on a small plate and place chutney on the side.
