Asian-style Hamburgers

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cooked white rice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 lychee fruit

  • Method:

  • -Put the ground beef in a large bowl for mixing (with your hands).
  • -Add the white rice.
  • -Add the soy sauce
  • -Peel and de-seed the lychee fruit. Crush and mince. Add to the beef mixture. (if you absolutely cant find lychee fruit, you can use 4-5 seedless green grapes as a substitute.
  • -Mix all of the ingredients together and form into patties.
  • -Cook on the grill / foreman / frying pan until desired doneness.
  • This can be served with the "normal" ketchup and mustard condiments or to keep with the asian theme its also good with: sweet & sour sauce, chili & garlic sauce, teriyaki sauce, wasabi, red hunan sauce, szechuan sauce, thai peanut sauce.... or just about any other asian sauce you can think of. Just experiment!
