Bacon And Clam Pizza Recipe
Ingredients:
2 6 1/2 ounce cans chopped clams, drain, reserving 1/4 cup juiceCooking spray1 1/2 Cups thinly sliced onion1 tsp dried thyme1/4 tsp pepper1 1 lb Italian cheese pizza crust ( such as Boboli)1/2 C refrigerated light Alfredo sauce (regular Alfredo may be used)4 tsp chopped, precooked bacon (2 slices)1/3 C shredded fresh Parmesan cheese1/8 tsp crushed red pepper2 Tbl chopped fresh or 2 tsp dried parsley
Method:
400 ovenDrain clams, reserving 1/4 C juiceCoat a large non-stick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium high until hotAdd onion and thyme and saute 8 minutes or until onion is slightly brownedAdd reserved clam juice and cook until juice is evaporated, scraping to loosen any browned bitsStir in black pepperPlace pizza crust on baking sheetSpread Alfredo sauce evenly over crust; top with onion mixture, clams, bacon, cheese and crushed red pepperBake at 400 for 12 minutes or until cheese is meltedSprinkle with parsley6 servings6 points a serving
