Adobo Grilled Turkey Planks


  • 1-1/2 pound turkey breast boneless skinless and sliced 1/2" thick
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Sauce:
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine

  • Method:

  • Combine spices the rub turkey with spice rub and set aside.
  • Place charcoal grill.
  • Wait until coals are gray and spread in a single layer for direct heat method.
  • Spray grid with nonstick spray and let grid heat over hot coals.
  • Place turkey on grid over a hot fire and cook seven minutes per side then remove from grill.
  • Bring broth and wine to a simmer and reduce to half the volume.
  • Place reduction on turkey and serve.
